Four Festivals 2014 in East Nusa Tenggara Indonesia

The blue ocean, natural landscape, very friendly local people, unique custom, or genuine waving, East Nusa Tenggara has it for those who crave for natural sightseeing.

Every islands and regencies in East Nusa Tenggara has its uniqueness, in order to catch the perfect moment while visiting East Nusa Tenggara, we better know the occasional celebration or ceremony. This year, there are 4 tourism festivals that worth visiting:

Festival Komodo
This second year festival will be held in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency, on 11-12 May, 2014. West Manggarairegency is located in western side Flores island.

At this festival, there will be carnival, exhibition and art attraction like Caci dance, which is traditional local dance.


Festival Kelimutu
This year will be the third year of Kelimutu Festival, and it will held on 14-15 August 2014. This festival will be placed in Moni village, Ende regency, Flores island. There will be many art attractions and cultural art race, following the main attraction of Sao Ria trekking, from Sao Ria tourism object in Moni Village to Kelimutu lake.


Festival Timoresia
This festival will be celebrate on 21-22 September 2014. Before, this festival was held in Atambua, in Belu regency, but this year the festival will be held in Timor Tengah Utara, in Timor island.

This festival is also known as the Travel Border Festival, because the East Timor will be participated in this festival.
The agenda of this festival is about cultural parade and art attraction, following the main attraction of horse racing.

Festival Lembata
This year, Lembata festival is celebrate in second year anniversary, and it will be held in 24-28 September 2014 in Lembata regency, Lembata island. This island is located in eastern side Flores island.

The main attraction of this festival is in marine tourism, like whale catching, traditional mermaid race and surfing in Pasir Putih Minggar village.
